Obama was recently elected as the 44th president. Now that he is elected Solar Integrated Technologies rose by 30% after an increase of 22% by Renewable Energy Corporation and 16% by the wind turbine maker Vestas. Obama promised to spend $150 billion over the next 10 years. A promise like this leave a legacy for future generations to imitate. The result of the US election provided a much needed encouragement at a critical time. Some companies have seen their share prices halve in the turmoil that began in september. Jobs in economic slowdown would be the natural offshoots.

reading journal

I am doing yet another reading journal for the book Time Machine. As you know I dont really like this book but I still have to read it. In the book their is a few arguments about the the adventures through time. People argue that it wont be possible and that it will be dangerous and other stuff like that. As I thought this book is beggining to get better now that he is going through more expiriences in time. Their is many things in time that he tries to avoid. I know that I woudnt do good by myself in time. I actually think it would be kind of scary. So that is my reading journal for this week.

Reading Journal

I am starting to read a new book for my humanities class. The new book is called The Time Machine. I dont really get this book, I am not really finding myself enjoying this book. It is not a book I can find myself digging into. This book is about this man and his adventures through time. I have not read that much of this book because I do not really like this book. I usually read books relating to sports but i had to read this book because i did not have anymore sport books. I hope that i will soon begin to like this book and will enjoy reading it but for now i do not really like this book.

Good Life

My idea of a good life is a few different things. First it means that there is bot a lot of anger or violence, your world is peace like a hippie. A good life is a life that is what you want. Life could be happy for you and then you have a good life by maybe being married to the women of your dreams. You will have lived your life to the fullest knowing you did everything you dreamed of doing. For me the things I dreamed of doing for example being a professional skater, being married, meeting Kim Kardashian, and getting sponsored by Girl skateboards and Lakai shoe co. If I accomplish that then I could have said I had a good life.

Reading Journal

For this reading journal I am going to talk about a book that i read during the summer because I finished the book I was recently reading. The book is called Slam. This book is about a teenage boy going through college. The boys name is Greg "Slam" Harris. Slam is going to school in the hood so of course he see's gang violence and drug dealing all around him. Slam is a star basketball player that moves to a new school and he trys to take his team to the championship but before they do that he has to beat his old team which is the best team in the league. Slam is the best book I have ever read. It is cool because it relates to real life senarios that are taking place these days.

I recently finished reading the book Friday Night Lights. The ending is good, at first it looks like they have it then theynlose it then they have it and then the same thing happens. They get forced into a coin toss because of a 3 way tie and at the end they win the coin toss. Then they have to get to the championship by playing other teams and advancing to the championship. At first they have some tough games but some how they defeat the other team and advance to the championship. The same result as last year they win the championship!
I think this was a very good book. I think it is tied for one of the best books I have ever read.

reading journal

Recently in the book Friday Night Lights I read about how Boobie tries to play with his injury and how they tell him not to play and how the coaches even found a player that is better than Boobie. The coaches said that he is better because he doesnt do the chicken spins and jukes he breakes the tackles and lowers his shoulder to knock the opponent out. Boobie is the type of runner who just does fancy jukes and spins instead of breaking the tackle. They tell Boobie that he shouldnt play because he is still not fully recovered from the injury that he suffered from to his knee. It gets intense when they are many teams fighting for a few playoff spots. Permain unfortunatly doesnt get a playoff spot off the back they are forced into a tie which is a coin toss and I have not found out if they get it because I will find out in the next chapter.

Reading Journal

Recently in the book Friday Night Lights I read about a couple of different things. First I read about the Permain football teams star player Boobie. Boobie is the best player on the team and then he gets hurt in a scrimmige game. This shows that the team must put their skill to the test without him. I also read about how segregation affects their team with racial comments from the press, the players, and the fans. It puts them to the test to avoid the racial comments and play some football. I also read about what it is like in a day of the football players at school. That is what I have reacently read in Friday Night Lights.

new book

I am reading a new book. It is called Friday Night Lights. I am i not that far into the book but so far it is really good. In the first chapter it talks about the city of odessa and their football team. The fans for this city are really hyped up for he football season. They are chating "going to state in eighty eight". Then their star player Boobie suddenly gets injured in a scrimmige game because he is to eager to play a lot but its just a scrimmige. That is all that i have read so far and i have a while to go so that concludes another reading journal.

- his personal expiriences include living close to the border
-he knows someone that immigrated from michuacah mexico
-he would immigrate to australia because of its lifestyle
-he believes that immigrants are impacting our community
-he thought their should be stricter immigration
-he thought immigrants that are illigal should not have rights and legals should
-he thought immigrants come here for decent wage
-if there was no border he thought there would be more drug trafficing and illegal activitites
-he said he wouldnt want to be an illegal immigrant
-he thought they should take more action for aliens
-he said that its not a matter of guts to immigrate illegaly
-he said border patrol provide necessary contribution and it saves aliens lifes

another reading journal

In breaking through it seems like panchito and his family never stop moving he is in high school but by the time i got done reading he was out of high school. He is looking to go to college but he wants to try to go to college in america. He comments many times that he never stops moving which means he is trying not to get caught by la migra. Immigration police. This book tought me the perspctive of an illigal immigrant and his family and how he tries to get his freedom. He shows great strength by nevr giving up because he knew that if he would of got caught his family and himself would be in trouble.

Reacently in the book breaking through he learns how to drive and keeps asking papa if he can drive their buick. He is also now a in his junior year in high school and he thinks he is the perfect driver but he is still learning. I think this book has been pretty good so far but i dont think its one of the bestbooks i have read but it is pretty good. In the book i think time goes by to fast first hes little then all of a sudden he is in high school. Other than that the book has been ok.

Breaking Through

First off i wasnt sure about wat we were supposed to write about and then i thought it was chapter six.
in chapter six their father had lost 3 acres of strawberry fields. but it was also their last day of scool they were told to wear dark pants and a white shirt. they were nervous about graduation but wat kid isnt so they made it through the day and recieved their diploma

About Me

Ok first off my name is Matt Leyba-Gonzalez i love to skateboard and play any sport especially basketball or football but i like to skate more than all of those.
Skating is big in my life for many reasons. First off im not as good as i wood like to b at skating because i havent been skating for a long time and i stop a lot because many things get in the way like school and sometimes i get hurt and im able to skate but i get to lazy to skate.
Next im going to talk about middle scool. First off i knew so many people that i didnt really want to move to a completely new scool. I was kinda upset but i heard that hth was cool so i thought that i wood give it a try.
